Hastings May Day Bike Run 2024. Over 40 years old, the hastings may day bike run started in 1979 from humble beginnings with a chap called tim gooderson and a group of his friends gathering to visit the town of hastings. The formal 'bike1066' event is not taking place this year as the organiser has retired, but hastings is still very much looking forward to welcoming bikers for the traditional.
We are a group of volunteers from hastings and the surrounding area who are committed to the joy of riding, and keeping it safe and fun for everyone. Thousands of people attended the event despite the formal ‘bike1066’ event not taking.
